We will let you know as soon as registration is open for the 8th annual Kyles 10 Miles on Argylls Secret Coast. The challenging road race is an unrivalled scenic route round the Ardlamont peninsula with outstanding views towards Arran and the Mull of Kintyre.
The 10 mile road race, under 2 hours from Glasgow, has already become one of the most stunning runs in Scotland. The route covers part of Argyll’s Secret Coast which is a little known area of natural beauty on the west coast of Scotland. The circular route is a gem, once uncovered never forgotten, with majestic mountains and a secluded coastal road providing the runner with amazing views and challenges.
Chip timing, wicking t-shirts, race commentary and exciting goodie bags add to the event.
We are delighted once again to be sponsored by The Forrest Group, and be affiliated with Scottish Athletics!
We are under two hours from Glasgow via Loch Lomond and Loch Long and into the Cowal Peninsula on the A815 before Cairndow. Alternatively, use the ferry crossing at Gourock on the Clyde coast, giving direct access to Cowal at Dunoon, a 40 minute drive from Tighnabruaich. The last 15 minutes are spectacular as you climb over the mountains and enjoy the unparalleled views of the Kyles of Bute (and the peninsula you will run around!) before you descend into Tighnabruaich.
Registration is at the Kames Hall: when you come down to the shore, turn right and head 1/2 mile along road to Kames crossroads. Go straight across the junction and the hall is 100 yards on your left. Limited parking available on the road outside the hall and on the shinty brae.
